FaceTime allow group calls and is integrated into Messages with iOS 12

FaceTime is undoubtedly one of the best video call applications available on the market, who are accustomed to use it, we know that it usually has no rival in stability, performance and image quality. However, Apple had not opted to renew it for many years. We have news, iOS 12 will allow group video calls and will be fully integrated with Animojis, Memojis and Messages.

No doubt FaceTime has received a major renovation, being for me one of the star products presented during this WWDC18, and that is the true way to bring people closer to their family and friends.

These group calls will be present for both the video format and the audio format, that is, we can make a group call without video, which I honestly would not recommend. Similarly, for the video version we will be able to edit in real time the images that we are emitting both with the new stickers and video effects added in iOS 12, as with the usual Animoji and the new Memoji. Apple has definitely wanted to make its video platforms much more interactive and they will greatly brighten calls. We don't know yet how this type of news will affect bandwidth or device performance.

FaceTime is an incredible video calling platform, although unfortunately it is only compatible between iOS or macOS devices, so you can not take advantage of this whole range of innovations at the multi-platform level. In short, we will keep an eye on all the news that iOS 12 provides us and we are still waiting to know the exact release date of the first private beta for developers that we will try to keep you fully informed in the coming months, which is that The official version of iOS 12 will not arrive before September of this year 2018.
