Apple donates 2 million dollars and users receive another one in iTunes for the victims of Harvey

No doubt Hurricane Harvey is being a true nightmare for much of the state of Texas. The authorities are not able to help the victims of this hurricane and all help is little in these situations. Apple herself with Tim Cook in front has donated 2 million dollars to help the victims for this natural catastrophe, but more is needed.

Apple's own website in the United States obviously has a specific section to make donations. Last Friday this category 4 hurricane touched down and from that moment it became a large storm that flooded roads, highways, buildings and others.

In a tweet the CEO of the Cupertino company, I asked for help and collaboration for Texas a couple of days ago:

There is no doubt that the response of the users is always exemplary and this time only iTunes has collected $ 1 million. To this figure we must add the rest of donations by entities and companies such as Apple itself that are really very important for Texas and those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Apple usually makes associations with the American Red Cross in this type of disasters and in this way receive donations that do not go through Apple, go directly to those affected thanks to the distribution of the Red Cross itself. All users who want can make their donations of: 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 or 200 dollars. These types of donations were activated with other disasters such as Hurricane Sandy or the Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011.
