Apple forces iOS 10 or higher to download the Apple Store app

The betas of iOS 10.3 are giving us signs of what may be iOS 11 in the future, or at least where the new update will go. One of the things to be clear about is that iOS 11 It will only allow 64-bit applications, So developers whose apps are 32-bit or are updated or die.

Apple's example is quite clear. Much of its apps like the entire iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) require having iOS 10 or higher to download them to our device. After the last update of the Apple Store app, the big apple has also modified this criterion: as of now, only apps higher than iOS 10 can be downloaded.

The demands of Apple increasingly present: now iOS 10 or higher

Apple has always wanted perfection both in its devices and in its ecosystem, in which I include applications and different stores. Throughout the launches of operating systems, Cupertino's have launched a series of features that made developers have to evolve or die. It's necessary that developers advance according to the changes of iOS, macOs and other operating systems.

If we recall, in February 2015 Apple forced developers to make apps uploaded from February 2015 compatible with 64 bits:

As of February 1, 2015, new iOS applications uploaded in the App Store must include 64-bit support and will be built with the iOS 8 SDK, included in Xcode 6 or later. To enable the 64-bit structure in your project, we recommend that you use the default Xcode configuration “standard architectures” to build a single binary with 32-bit versions and 64-bit code.

From that date until today, all changes that occur in the applications must be supported by this 64-bit architecture But the novelty comes that Apple will probably eliminate those applications that are not updated for iOS 10 or higher, and it is expected that almost 10% of the apps available in the App Store will be affected with the release of iOS 11.

In the case of the app Apple Store, in the last update already included the requirement to have iOS 10 or a higher version, an order to those developers who have lagged behind in the development of their applications.
