HongMeng OS May come this Friday, August 9, when the Chinese company holds its Developer Conference in its home country. The event will present several presentations, among which is also the presentation of the new EMUI 10.0 interface that will be present in the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, and from which the company released a promotional video.

CNET sources in Spanish ensure that the conference will present details of an operating system, although they do not clarify whether it is HongMeng OS, if it was called Ark OS or if it had another name.

The details of this operating system are frankly uncertain. On the one hand the founder of the company, Rei Zhengfei, said in July that "probably" the operating system will be up to 60 percent faster than Android, but on the other, some leaks indicate that it does not arrive at the moment for cell phones and that rather HongMengOS will reach Honor TVs.They are about to launch.

According to Reuters data, HongMeng OS has been described by Huawei executives as an operating system designed for the Internet of Things, to connect products such as washing machines, smart speakers and other appliances, but not for cell phones.

But the most recent rumor is that Huawei present a cheap cell phone this Friday, about US $ 280, which will include HongMengOS, and will be available before the end of the year.

That said, it is not expected at the moment that Huawei terminates its contracts with Google to stop using Android. In fact, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro continues to participate in the Android Q development project, and even the Huawei Mate 30 Pro – to arrive after the Pixel 4 – It will incorporate this operating system, being one of the first cell phones to have it since its launch.
