The RedmiBook 14 becomes cheaper with a Core i3

Redmi, the Xiaomi sub brand, launched its first laptop, the RedmiBook 14, on May 28. At that time, the notebook was announced with Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i7 processors. The RedmiBook 14 now it has a cheaper version which has a processor Intel Core i3. This new version is being offered for a price of 3,199 yuan (around 418 euros or 436 dollars). The notebook is currently in the reservation stage through the Jingdong e-commerce website (JD.com) in China at a reduced price of 2999 yuan (about 287 euros or 320 dollars).

The new version introduces the processor Intel Core i3-8145U of eighth generation as the main change. The processor is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and internal storage in 256 GB SSD format. In addition to these modifications, the version with Intel Core i3 adopts the same design and hardware as the other more expensive versions.
As a reminder, the RedmiBook 14 includes a 14-inch Full HD screen. The screen comes with narrow bezels of 5.75 mm and a solid screen / body ratio of 81.2%. The screen also comes with a matte anti-glare coating to ensure good visibility during the day. The portable Redmi is relatively light with 1.5 kg weight and it comes with a 19mm full size keyboard. Unlike the new MacBooks, the RedmiBook has a very complete port series. These ports include 1x HDMI, 2 x USB 3.0, 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB 2.0 port.
In addition, the laptop comes with a efficient cooling system and has a battery life of up to 10 hours as indicated by the manufacturer. It is compatible with an ultra low power standby mode and with the Xiaomi Smart Unlock 2.0. Thanks to the latter you can unlock the RedmiBook 14 in just 1.2 seconds using the wereable Mi Band 3 gadget. Other features include DTS surround sound and original editions of Microsoft Office Home and Student.
