A design that continues to stand out

Black Shark is a brand of gaming devices, which usually goes hand in hand with using flashy and aggressive lines in their products. In original Black Skark it was no exception but in this second model we see some containment.

If we look at the mobile in front of us, we might think that we are facing any mobile, with a large screen and few frames.

We do not have notch, since the upper and lower frames are larger than the lateral ones, which allows incorporating two front speakers with stereo sound. The screen is elongated and has rounded corners.

If we turn it around we do see that it is not a mobile to use. It has a central strip with a matt finish made of aluminum and two sides of crystal. In the left area are the two rear cameras, and there is no fingerprint sensor because despite what we saw in the prototypes, Xiaomi has decided to put it on the screen.

This design has been designed to improve ergonomics while we take it horizontally, something very normal in a mobile designed to play. In addition, the smaller sides have no metal, to make it more comfortable to grip and have better coverage.

The maximum possible power

This new mobile uses, how could it be otherwise, the Snapdragon 855, the fashion processor that we have already tested in the Xiaomi Mi 9. Next to it we will have 6 GB of RAM although there is a version that incorporates 8 GB and another with 12 GB of RAM This is possibly one of the few mobiles that is sure to take advantage of this, given the approach it has. Next to that memory we have 128 GB or 256 GB for storage.

The screen uses OLED technology and has a diagonal of 6.39 inches, with FHD + resolution (2340 x 1080 px). The refresh rate is 43.5 ms, something that influences when playing since the lower the latency, the less delay in the response in the games. And if we want more screen, we can connect an HDMI cable to an external monitor.

This screen has pressure sensors that allow you to modify the response by software, depending on our tastes. The Magic Press system is similar to 3D Touch of the iPhone. To this we must add a vibration system that varies depending on the game, the weapons we have and what happens on the screen.

The connectivity has also been improved by evenly distributing the antennas around the perimeter to prevent the signal from being covered when we place the mobile horizontally.

Lots of battery and fast charge

Autonomy is one of the problems of the most fans to play. The Black Shark 2 has 4000 mAh and has fast charging, which makes use of the USB C port with which this mobile is equipped.

In addition, it has a new multilayer active cooling system which allows the temperature to drop (up to 10 degrees), making the mobile consume less battery and the games can run longer at maximum power.

New accessories: controls, covers …

The first Black Shark stood out, in part, for its accessories. This is no exception. In the presentation they have shown a case with its own cooling that serves to cool the mobile if we use it in advanced mode, with maximum performance.

We have also seen some physical control knobs, similar to those of the Nintendo Switch.
