Ford has presented its Split View Front View Camera (CVDPP), focused on offering the driver 180 degree visibility – from the front of the vehicle – for greater traffic control approaching him at a junction without good side vision .
Spokesmen of the American multinational have stressed that this new proposal that debuts as an option in the new S-MAX and Galaxy- has a lens installed in the calender, capable of letting the driver know if any vehicle, cyclist or pedestrian is approaching.

The system is activated by pressing one of the controls controlled by the driver. In this way, a 1 megapixel camera located in the car's calender picks up everything that happens to the left and right, and generates an image that is shown on the eight-inch screen located on the dashboard, informants have illustrated.
Delving into other features of the camera in question, it has also been known that it can stand up to 33 millimeters in front of the car to have a better view and has a system that will keep it clean at all times. In addition, the CVDPP has been equipped to march in all kinds of natural and artificial light conditions, as well as on roads, congested urban stretches, areas with significant number of cyclists and pedestrians, tunnels, alleys and garages.
