The Samsung Galaxy A range triumphs in the mid-range

Samsung has managed to find the right key. After a year in which technology has put on sale numerous terminals focused on the middle segment of the market, the results have paid off and are already among the best sellers of the moment.

It reflects the latest market study of Counterpoint Reserch, the company will have managed to place three of its Galaxy A series terminals among the ten ms sold during the last quarter of the year (Samsung Galaxy A10, Samsung Galaxy A20 and Samsung Galaxy A50). It is not the only one that reaches this figure, however, since the recent arrival in Spain Oppo also manages to locate a trident of devices in this period (Oppo A9, Oppo A5, and Oppo A5s).

Apple, meanwhile, continues to make iPhone XR the most sold around the world for the fourth consecutive quarter, straining now also to iPhone 11 (the successor of the previous one) also in the list. They close the table, in ninth and tenth place, respectively, the Xiaomi Redmi 7A and the Huawei P30.

News for a very competitive segment

At a time when more and more brands are betting on the mid-range market through a combination of excellent specifications and low price, a powerful move by Samsung that allowed the Asian giant was necessary compete again in this new wave of terminals.

With the Galaxy A range, the firm has assured on several occasions to be reaping excellent results, something that is evidenced in the aforementioned study and highlights the effectiveness with its new strategy: bet on these terminals when it comes to including its main novelties. In addition to an approach especially surrounded by a young public and the value of Samsung as a brand, the path is headed for a 2020 in which its rivals, obviously, will make it even more difficult to stand out.
