Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Purple from Samsung

Samsung will present its new folding phone at its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 11.

The rumors

Let's see if the rumors that have been circulating for a while are true, the design is not surprising. But seeing what will be offered in a stunning purple color has made me a live version of the heart eye emoji.

I never thought I'd be a fan of folding phones. The Galaxy Fold and the Huawei Mate X are really great.

Nevertheless

The Z Flip is cute and compact. And, the fact that it folds and unfolds vertically means that you probably have no problem holding with one hand.

And, to add to the old-school mobile phone vibe, Max Weinbach of XDA developers revealed in a tweet that he can also end a call by closing the phone.

The Galaxy Z Flip

It comes equipped with two screens. Outside there is a 1.06 inch Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 300 x 116 pixels. The screen always on shows you the time and any notification you have.

Inside there is a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen always on, with an aspect ratio of 22: 9 and FHD + that features Samsung's Infinity-O design found in the Galaxy S10 series. According to the filtration, the screen consists of "Ultra Thin Glass", which is supposedly more durable than the protective layer of the Galaxy Fold.

Some technicians who had some problems with the protective layer. Some thought it was a screensaver and removed it themselves. Others discovered that he was peeling himself. In any case, both scenarios considered the screen unusable.

According to Max Weinbach of XDA Developers

The ultra thin glass in the Z Flip may not protect the new ugly fold folding. But, of course, we will have to see it for ourselves to confirm.

The Z Flip also comes with two 12-megapixel rear cameras: the main sensor and an ultra wide angle lens. Inside there is a 10 megapixel drilling camera with autofocus.

In the meantime

Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 last year and a 3,300 mAh battery. In addition, the phone offers 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.

But, according to WinFuture, it doesn't come with a microSD card slot for expandable storage.

Pricing and availability information was not included in the leak; But according to Max Weinbach, it could be launched on February 14 with a retail price of $ 1,400.
