Appearances are not everything, but when you spend so much money, you want something you can boast. Fortunately, these two phones are awesome. The Galaxy S20 Plus is probably the most exclusive of the two, with an elegant bezel-free design with curved edges and a unique hole for the camera. But the iPhone 11 Pro Max is not an ugly duckling and although the notch is large, the bezelless design is no less impressive.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a slightly smaller screen, but it's still huge. The 6.5-inch XDR Super Retina display has a resolution of 2,688 x 1,242 pixels and is sharp with intense colors. The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display of the S20 Plus has a higher resolution of 3,200 x 1,440 pixels, although it is difficult to notice the difference in actual use. The S20 Plus screen also has the option of a super soft refresh rate of 120 Hz, which will please the players.
However, there is a substantial difference in weight, and that is due to construction materials. The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a stainless steel frame, which is probably stronger than the aluminum frame of the S20 Plus. The differences in durability end there, and both have a degree of protection IP68 for resistance to dust and water.
It is very difficult to differentiate both devices, but based on the screen, the S20 Plus has to take the victory.

Performance, battery life and charge
In this section both are very powerful, they have the best specifications. The S20 Plus integrates the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, while the iPhone uses Apple's A13 Bionic processor. The S20 Plus has three times more RAM than the iPhone, but iOS and Android handle RAM differently. In storage there is more than one difference. Apple needs to get rid of the 64GB model as a storage option in the basic iPhone, as it is not enough. The S20 Plus starts with 128 GB and is also compatible with 1 TB MicroSD cards. The 256 GB and 512 GB models of the iPhone are better, but paying more than $ 1,000 for 64 GB of storage is not acceptable today.
Things are more flattering for the iPhone when it comes to battery life. A full charge will last until the next day and beyond. We have not had the opportunity to try the S20 Plus battery, but we are not sure that it is able to match that feat. The 25W S20 Plus charge is faster than the 18W iPhone, but the difference is small. Both have wireless charging too.
The differences between the two are slight, in this round we give them a draw while we still have more tests to do.

The latest iPhone and Galaxy phones have had significant improvements in the camera, which makes this category important. The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a triple lens camera configuration on the back, with wide-angle, ultra-angular and telephoto lenses (all 12 megapixels) and a 12 megapixel TrueDepth lens selfie in the front part. It is a phenomenal camera, and although we have some problems with the ultra wide angle lens, it is absolutely the best camera phone at the moment. The intelligent HDR has been improved, and produces even better composite images than before, and the new Night Mode is excellent. The 12 megapixel camera for selfies It is equally impressive.
The camera of the Galaxy S20 Plus surpasses that of the iPhone 11 Pro Max? We haven't had enough time with her yet, but she looks promising. Samsung has placed a huge four-lens camera on the back, and is composed of a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 64-megapixel telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a depth (flight time) sensor. Samsung flagships have to wait at least six months to update with the latest version of Android, and tend to be isolated from updates after two years. The iPhone 11 Pro Max doesn't have too many special features outside the powerful camera software, but the features it has are polished and impressive. There are Animoji and Memoji with Face ID, and there are rumors that the U1 chip could end up being used for something more than the improved AirDrop.
The Galaxy S20 Plus is full of special features. The Bixby button may have disappeared, but Samsung's Bixby artificial intelligence remains and you can choose between it and Google Assistant. There is also the DeX desktop mode, Wireless PowerShare, the ultrasonic on-screen fingerprint scanner and, most importantly, the incorporation of 5G. Although it seems a bit odd to list this in the special features, the inclusion of 5G prepares this phone for the future.
