World's largest computer fair pushed back

The COMPUTEX fair is a tradition in the hardware world, since 1981 with the name Taipei Computer Show it has been held. However, it was only in the early 2000s that it took flight in the world of technology.

This 2020 the event was going to be held between June 2 and 6, but this March 24 they had to warn that everything was postponed because of the coronavirus.

"Unfortunately, the world is affected by severe infectious pneumonia (COVID-19). To date, more than 300,000 people have been diagnosed in 167 countries around the world, impacting the economy, trade, transportation, conventions and tourism. The organizers of COMPUTEX, the President and CEO of TAITRA, Mr. Walter Yeh, and the Secretary General of TCA, Mr. Enoch Du, jointly announce, for the health and safety of exhibitors and visitors, the effectiveness of the exhibition and maintenance of the COMPUTEX brand image, scheduled by COMPUTEX from June 2 to 6 to be rescheduled for September ”, was the beginning of the announcement.

COMPUTEX is rescheduled for September 28-30, at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2 (TaiNEX 2) and to present 5G and communication, smart solutions, games and InnoVEX (startups).

TAITRA will improve the invitation to global visitors to attend COMPUTEX in September through its 63 offices abroad ”, they continued in the official statement.

The event finally commented that, β€œFor exhibitors who continue to support COMPUTEX, TAITRA will host a COMPUTEX online exhibition in Taiwantrade from June 2-6 and invite global buyers to participate in online shopping meetings. TAITRA will also invite exhibitors to launch new product launches, and invite global ICT companies to share 5G, AIoT and other smart technology applications through the webinar. ”
