Step 1: We open a command window. For this we will go inside the ADB folder (C: adb). Once here we press the SHIFT key on the keyboard + Right Click on the mouse in a white space in the folder and in the options that are displayed we simply choose “Open command window here”.

Step 2: Next, we connect the phone to the PC through the USB cable and restart the device in fastboot mode by typing the following command in the command window or by pressing the “Power + Volume down” button at the same time.

Step 3: We write the following command in the command window to install TWRP Recovery on the phone

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Step 5: We have just installed the custom recovery on the BQ Aquaris M5. Next, we boot the phone into recovery mode and flash the SuperSu file using TWRP Recovery to Root the phone.

Step 6: In the TWRP Recovery menu we choose “Install” then search and select “SuperSU” to root the phone. We swipe to confirm. We wait for the installation / flash process to finish and click on “Reboot system” to restart the device.
