Samsung Dev Spain, Samsung’s community for Spanish developers, has announced the ninth edition of its annual conference to be held next Thursday, November 22 in Madrid. The conference will cover different areas on technology and the opportunities it offers to software developers, such as Artificial Intelligence or new user experience formats, or on the use of tools and functionalities of tools for the creation of new experiences optimized for achieve greater user satisfaction.

The conference, under the title Next Starts Now, will show some of the novelties recently presented at the Samsung Developer Conference in San Francisco, providing a new vision of the possibilities offered by innovation to make connected life a reality. Since its creation in 2011, Samsung Dev Spain has promoted the development of 7,000 applications, and has more than 4,200 active developers.

“Spain is the country with the largest number of local applications developed for the Samsung ecosystem, and this is an example that our commitment is full to the community, where we are achieving great results. Thanks to the synergy of local talent with the platforms and tools provided by Samsung, we have the opportunity to build new experiences for people ” has explained the Brand, Strategy & Innovation Manager of Samsung Electronics Iberia, Miguel Ángel Ruiz.

Among the speakers who will participate in the event, David Ngo, a specialist in Behavior Design from Stanford University, will contribute his experience in the application development process based on its impact on users and will show a new approach to understanding behavior human and the ways of designing solutions that influence our behavior. Adrián Gallegos, IT Managing Director at Telecoming, will present his vision on the monetization of applications, as well as success stories and the fundamentals of adaptation and transformation during business development. Javier Palanca, Senior Technician at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, will address the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and show how it has revolutionized the application market and examples of how artificial intelligence can be used on mobile devices to develop truly intelligent capabilities

Another of the presentations will be “Challenge LaLiga by Samsung”, the challenge for Software developers recently launched by LaLiga and Samsung during which the participation bases will be explained and the tools and data available for the objective of this challenge will be presented: the creation of an innovative solution to improve the LaLiga fan experience, through technology and the Samsung ecosystem. The keys for the challenge will be presented by Ricardo Resta, Director of the Sports and Mediacoach Area, César Chaparro Yedro, Head of Data-Driven Transformation and Daniel Vicente, Head of Apps and Games. In addition, some success stories will be announced, such as that of developers Ignacio Gastañaga and Norman Schaar, winners of the first edition of The Challenge: Best VR Game with Daedalus, and how Samsung Dev Spain has supported them in their project.

All these activities are part of the platform “Technology with purpose”, A Samsung initiative developed for years, which works to bring closer and improve people’s lives through technology. Through Samsung Dev Spain, the company seeks to provide tools and knowledge to local developers, supporting the undertaking of innovative projects and encouraging professionals to have access to new challenges and professional opportunities.
