Firefox 4 beta 2 debuts

The main feature that has generated the most intrigue among users is the option defined as “App Tabs”, which allows you to have different web applications open, such as Hotmail or Google Calendar, and after clicking with the right mouse button, create a small window Favorite icon, which will remain visible next to the toolbar to allow immediate access to that window or application.

It is a concept similar to that of Windows 7, with the option of assigning certain applications to the toolbar, which allows us to streamline processes when what we want is to move between the different instances that we have open. A small icon is displayed on the left side of the browser.

Mozilla emphasizes that App Tabs will be automatically opened every time the browser is launched, although in the beta version that we have had the opportunity to test it has not proceeded in this way.

Other interesting aspects to highlight in Firefox 4 Beta 2 is the support of CSS3 transictions. In this way, web developers can make any HTML element (be it a text box or image) jump off the page. Mozilla offers a video demonstration of the comments on its page.

Beta 2 maintains the design innovations presented in the previous beta version, but only for Windows users. It seems that different Linux platforms are going to have to wait for the new look and makeover.
