The Olympus µ Tough-6010 is a model with a 12 megapixel sensor, has a 28-102mm lens, offers 3.6x optical zoom, dual image stabilization and built-in flash. It features a 2.7-inch screen, multiple preset scene modes, a face detection system for up to 16 people, and video recording at VGA resolution (30 fps).
As is common with Olympus models, this camera uses microSD and xD type cards, but not SD / SDHC as is common in most compact cameras. It has a mode called i-Auto that detects the five scenes most used by the user and adjusts the focus as well as the exposure automatically.
Its three most important features are its resistance to water (submersible up to 3 meters), its ability to withstand freezing temperatures down to -10ºC and its resistance to falls of up to 1.5 meters. The µ Tough-6010 is available in different colors: titanium gray, turquoise blue and lava red.
