Google has finally made the official launch of the new Nexus 6, its most recent novelty in terms of smartphones, which as always, comes exclusively preloaded with the latest version of Android (Lollipop).
Lolipop is a whole avalanche of important improvements compared to the previous Kitkat version, so in a few days I would like to write an article to discuss the most important news that comes with this new version. Today, I would like to highlight the curious and innovative advertising campaign with which Google is promoting this sweet new version of Android.
Androidify, become an Android
Andy, the famous Android mascot, has been customized for Lollipop, giving it all kinds of shapes, colors and styles, indicating that Android is infinitely customizable to each individual’s taste and as opposed to the idea of looking all the same. To make this idea much more viral, Google has launched a curious App called Androdify that reminds me a lot of the famous Nintendo Wii Miis. Basically the idea of the App is to build your own version of your Android pet, or also to test how you would look if you were an Android.
Androidify is quite fun and complete, and when you finish assembling your pet, you can share it on social networks and Google will make your message much more viral. Unfortunately there is not much more that can be done with your pet for now, but at least you can create a good avatar to use in your profiles.
Additionally, there is a Google contest, which will reward the best versions of Androids, publishing them in TV commercials, newspapers and billboards. So go ahead and create your own Android. Maybe yours will get on TV.
Download the Androidify App and put your artistic skills as an android pet creator to work. Of course, when they have them they can share them in the comments, to see the most creative ones ????
