The AirPort Extreme 802.11n Enabler will allow users of MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo, MacBok with Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac Pro with the option of AirPort Extreme, and iMac with Intel Core 2 Duo to use 802.11n. The 17-inch 1.83 GHz iMac and Mac mini are not supported.
The enabler software is free when one of the new base stations is purchased, or it can be purchased through the Apple Store for a price of 1.95 EUR. Once activated, your Mac can connect to any 802.11n base station, not just those sold by Apple.
