According to information released with the update, the update addresses an issue with the AirPort wireless network driver that could allow attackers on a wireless network to execute arbitrary code. This issue affects eMac, iBook, iMac, PowerBook G3, PowerBook G4, and Power Mac G4 equipped with a genuine AirPort card, and not those using an AirPort Extreme card.
Other updated Mac OS X components are ATS; CFNetwork, Finder, Font Catalog, Import fonts, Installer, OpenSSL, PHP, PPP, Samba, Security Framework, VPN, WebKit, gnuzip and perl.
The update is available through the Software Update feature of Mac OS X or from the support area of ββthe Apple website.
