BBEdit allows searching using grep patterns, searching and replacing between multiple files, navigation between functions and syntax coloring in the source code of multiple languages, FTP and SFTP support, AppleScript and Unix script support, as well as a complete set of HTML tools among many other features.
As a new feature, this update uses descriptive summary strings for the Tidy and text reformatting features, as well as the use of conditionals in searches using PCRE patterns. The four previously separate language options have also been brought together, as well as their corresponding sheets in the Languages ​​preferences panel, now presenting them in a dialog where you can select fonts and configure other options from the Text Factory menu. This update also fixes dozens of bugs found in the previous version.
