Disc 1.0: Disc Burning

Disc provides users with the ability to record onto CD and DVD media with options not available in the Mac OS X Finder, such as full support for multi-session recording, disc erase, disc copy, folder burn VIDEO_TS (ripped from DVD video), etc. The software provides a “3D smoke” effect that appears each time a disc is burned (the effect has been expanded to support most Mac on which Disc can run).

Disco also incorporates Discography, a media cataloging system that allows recording all recordings, making it easier to find content previously recorded on CD or DVD, even with the possibility of importing information from discs that have been recorded by other programs.

Disk has been available as a download as part of the public beta program since last October 2006. Version 1.0 “final” incorporates multiple improvements such as a completely redesigned disk naming system, a new database engine and improved Unicode support.

System requirements are Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later and a Mac with a CD or DVD burner. Disk is available as Universal binary, and the license price is $ 14.95.
