PPSSPP is a PSP emulator that works with Android, but it is also available for other mobile platforms, as well as Windows, Linux, and MacOSX. In case the games don’t work as well as they should, we can set up and speed up PPSSPP for Android.
It happens on many occasions that in reality a malfunction of the emulator is caused by a bad configuration of the same. By changing the configuration we can get it to work properly again.
PPSSPP chart settings
- Set mode as non-buffer rendering
- Set Frameskipping to Off as 0
- Alternate set speed as 0
- Mark with a check all other options
- Set the screen resolution as the native resolution of the device
- Mark with a check all other options
- Set the anisotropic filter to Off
- Set de Bézier curves quiality in the middle
- Mark with a check all other options
- Enable function to Show FPS Counter
Configure and speed up PPSSPP for Android
After having changed the graphics settings, we made the necessary modifications to the audio:
- Set audio latency to high
- Mark with a check all other options

- Mark with a check all the other options that do not appear as “experimental”
- Set the “change emulated PSP’s CPU clock” as 0
Now, we click on Options Development Tools and set the following settings:
We check “Dynarec (JIT)” and the rest of the options are left unchecked. You are all set, we have configured our emulator and now it should work faster, whether it is the normal version of PPSSPP, as if it is the Gold version.
