iPod becomes one of the icons of design

The exhibition called “25/25” that serves to celebrate 25 years of history of the museum itself with 25 designs of great value. For the exhibition, the museum’s curators invited 25 designers to select 25 objects that they considered representative: “The best, or the most characteristic design of a period.”

The products nominated to be part of this collection have been designed by renowned international professionals such as: Maarten Baas, Mario Bellini, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Terence Conran, Matali Crasset, Ilse Crawford, James Dyson, Stefano Giovannoni, Konstantin Grcic, Gitta Gschwendtner, Martì Guixé, Jaime Hayon, Sam Hecht, John Hegarty, Gill Hicks, Matthew Hilton, James Irvine, John Maeda, David Mellor, John Pawson, Dieter Rams, Richard and Ab Rogers, Richard Seymour and Dick Powell, and finally, Paul Smith and Deyan Sudjic.

The exhibition will be open to the public from June 29-22, 2007, at the Design Museum in London.
