The sale of Disney movies began in mid-September of this year and the sales figure is really good. At the same time, Disney is the only film production company to offer content through iTunes.
According to igner: “This underlines the strength and uniqueness of our film library, and indicates that there is a consumer demand to download movies, which complements the demand for DVD.”
Iger also commented that Disney has sold approximately 85 million downloads over the past year, including TV shows, movies and shorts available from disneychannel.com, abc.com and now through the iTunes Store.
