The warranty on its high-end products has been extended to three years. The manufacturer has also presented a selection of services designed to facilitate the replacement and repair of defective units during the warranty period.
For example, an early replacement option is provided whereby storage products are allowed to be exchanged without the need for the defective product to be shipped first.
The manufacturer has also extended the warranty supplied with consumer products to a total of two years. This option covers the manufacturer’s professional consumer products as well as most other LaCie storage products.
The manufacturer’s professional products include RAID solutions, the d2 Quadra, the 2big Family, the Rugged Triple interface, and all monitors.
LaCie’s new warranty system is effective immediately. For models that include a standard three-year warranty, Advanced Replacement Warranty service is available for purchase within 30 days of product receipt.
