Microsoft changes the head of the business unit for Mac

Roz Ho had been running MacBU for seven years and is leaving this business unit to join Microsoft’s entertainment and devices division. In his place is Craig Eisler, the former CEO of AOL Wireless who returned to Microsoft in February. Eisler previously controlled the development team for DirectX in a previous version.

“Microsoft and Apple are two great companies with their own quirks, and by working at MacBU, I’ll get to experience the best of both worlds,” Eisler wrote about the matter on his blog.

Eisler takes over the reins just as Microsoft is preparing the latest version of Microsoft Office for Mac, which will go on sale in the second half of this year.
