This weekend, the owners of the Motorola Moto G and Moto E, were surprised with a pleasant surprise. The Moto Assist application has been updated for these terminals, including 2 additional functions that were until then exclusive to the Motorola Moto X. These are the Home function and the driving function.
The 4 Moto Assist modes
Motorola Moto Assist
PFor those who do not know it, this is the Motorola App that comes by default with the terminals of the Moto line (for now Moto G, Moto E and Moto X) allows you to automate some tasks which are quite useful.
- Meeting: Identify the meetings scheduled on your calendar and you can schedule some functions to be carried out during them, such as putting the cell phone in total silence or vibration, and answering calls with a text message, or even cutting the silence if a person calls more than once.
- Sleeping: You can set a sleep schedule from which the cell phone will be completely silent so as not to disturb you while you sleep. It also allows breaking the silence if a favorite contact calls or a non-favorite person calls more than once.
- Driving: This mode was previously available only for the Moto X, and allows you to set a music application as the default to start playback via bluetooth or headphones as soon as the driving mode is detected. It also allows your incoming text messages to be read by the speaker as soon as they arrive (in any case, before reading the message, the cell phone asks you, lest it read aloud something that you don’t want). In order to have this mode active, the GPS must be kept on all the time, which means a higher battery consumption, so the benefit of this function must be considered versus the extra battery consumption that it has. As soon as you get into a car and the journey begins, the cell phone will automatically detect movement and go into “driving” mode.
Driving Mode
- House: Like the “driving” mode, this mode was only available before in the Moto X. When this mode is active, it allows you to be notified through the loudspeaker of the name of the person who called you if you did not answer and asks if you want to send a message. text, which can be dictated, all without touching the phone. In order to detect the home mode, you must indicate the exact place of your home on the map, and keep the GPS on at all times. Then when you get home the cell phone will automatically go into home mode.
Home Mode
So if you are the owner of a Moto G or Moto E and you haven’t updated Moto Assit yet, what are you waiting for? It is time to enjoy these new modes that previously only had the Moto X.
