The 11.3.1 patch, which is available through the check for updates feature built into any of the Office 2004 suite applications, contains several updates that help improve the security and stability of the programs. Some of the improvements include a solution to the vulnerability whereby an attacker could overwrite the contents of the computer’s memory with malicious code.
