Quark has made improvements in several key areas of the product, including text selection, cropped images, and flattening features. Each feature has received a performance upgrade, resulting in an overall productivity improvement. Additionally, the Universal binary update also includes performance improvements across the entire application. The developer claims that in some areas, QuarkXPress 7.1 is up to five times faster on Intel processor-based Macs compared to computers based on PowerPC architecture.
QuarkXPress 7.1 has a license price of 1,099 EUR; and it is a free update for registered users of Quark 7.0.1.
