As indicated in the information included with the security update, the default configuration of the AirPort Extreme base station with 802.11n allows incoming IPv6 connections which can expose network services on the hosts connected to the base station to action. of remote attackers. This update addresses the issue of changing the default setting by limiting incoming IPv6 traffic to the local network.
Once the update is applied, the blocking feature must be activated from the AirPort Utility installed in the Utilities folder on the hard disk.
