The first Zelda Wii U GamePlay

As in the middle of this year we were speculating a bit about what would be the next installment of one of the most famous Nintendo franchises, The Legend of Zelda. At that time we talked about what “Hyrule Warrios” is going to be, a game of infinite battles that is merely a spin-off of the original story, so that title would not be part of The Legend of Zelda canon. At the same time we talked a bit about what would be the true next installment for Wii U of the adventures of our hero Link, with a small trailer and some details that they let us know at that time from Nintendo. Last week, Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma posted a new video online where they are both playing what would come to be a much more advanced and polished version of Zelda Wii U (as it became known for now), commenting between them about what we can enjoy in this installment. You can enjoy this video below.

The first noteworthy aspect of Zelda Wii U is that indeed the main character if it will be link, because in the trailer that was previously seen, the character seemed to be a girl, which made fans of the saga speculate about a possible female version of Link (not that it is completely ruled out, but at least in this advance if we can see a link very similar to that of skyward sword). The next main element of this installment that stands out and that they have definitely bet on, is the game map; Well, in this sample video, Eiji lets us see how huge the world of Hyrule is. Practically so huge that you can travel up to the mountains on the visible horizon. This vastness of the map leads us to another great news for this installment, and it is the return of Epona, Link’s faithful Mare, with whom we will be able to ride through huge landscapes, even for many minutes without stopping.

Towards the end of the video, Shigeru asks Eiji about the game’s possible release date, to which he confirms that it will actually be released by 2015, but after the launch of the next installment of StarFox pear which does not give a specific date; They also let us see a bit of the dynamics of the game where we see Link using the bow and arrow on Epona and then something of the use of the sword. Hopefully they will let us see a little more about the mechanics of the game soon and prepare the wallet to buy a Wii U next year to play this sensational title.

What do you think of this release? Is the Wii U worth it for franchises like this?
