Universal Cataloging with CDFinder 4.7

West-Forest-Systems has released CDFinder 4.7, the latest version of the software for cataloging files on storage devices. The application, with more than 10 years of presence in the Mac world, allows the files of any disk, CD-ROM, DVD, iPod, network volume or CD Audio to be indexed in its database.

In addition to providing compatibility as Universal binary, the new version of the program adds the ability to import catalog information, reading metadata corresponding to images and sound in the most used formats, the ability to catalog audio CDs, support for AppleScript, support for Spotlight searches and the ability to find the information using searches based on each of the metadata that the program can catalog.

The contents of the compressed files that can be cataloged by CDFinder are StuffIt, StuffIt Deluxe, Compact Pro, Zip (used by Mac OS X), TAR, .rar and Tomo files used by the old Apple installer.

The license for CDFinder 4.7 is $ 30.
