Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is known for launching a wide variety of products in China through the multiple subsidiaries it owns.

The latest product to be announced in China is a smart notepad. This device will help you take notes in a notepad and then transfer them safely, without the need to write them down.

The ‘Bamboo Slate Portable Smart Notepad’ as it’s called, is priced at CNY 799 and it is aimed at those of you who still love to write by hand when writing notes on your smartphones. The notepad, designed by Taohualin Technology, includes features such as cloud syncing and original handwriting restoration.

The Bamboo Slate is a thin tablet-like notepad with real paper that can be replaced by any other paper. The smart notepad has special software developed for iOS, Android, and Windows 10, where the original writing can be digitally transferred to the connected smart device with the press of a key.

It uses electromagnetic resonance technology to build a stable and precise magnetic field at the bottom of the device.

According to GizChinaWhen you write on paper, the displacement sensor built into the electromagnetic pen captures and records the writing signal in real time. It supports free handwriting trace, digital document splitting, free typesetting of paragraph content, adding and removing handwriting, as well as coloring. You can convert your handwriting to .TXT and .DOC files.

This appears to be a China-only product for now and there is no indication if it will make it to India.
