For the second year in a row, Apple has been named one of the 100 most influential companies of the year worldwide. This is how the prestigious magazine TIMEwhich has made the list public this March 30.
It is the second time that the publication reveals its TIME100 Most Influential Companies, an expansion of the famous list that each year publishes about the 100 most influential people in the world. The version chosen by the companies with the greatest impact in the world was born in 2021.
That year, Apple also made the list and now debuts in the “Titans” category. Share space with companies like Meta, Amazon, Nvidia, Microsoft or IBM. Sony, Spotify, Reddit or TikTok are other technology firms among the 100 most influential of 2022.
The magazine has listed Apple for “flexing its muscles.” Specific, TIME highlights the change the company introduced last year with which users can prevent their app usage habits from being tracked. According to Apple, “a victory for user privacy.”
It is not the first time that the Apple universe has been awarded for the publication. Also in 2021, Tim Cook was named one of the Titans in the 100 Most Influential People list. He had already appeared on the list before in 2012, 2015, 2016, and 2017.
