Best VPNs for iPad

surf shark

Surfshark is an easy-to-use and intuitive VPN with an iPad app that has more features than you might expect given its low price.

The service has more than 3,200 servers in more than 60 countries, but most importantly, it allows you to watch shows from Netflix, BBC iPlayer and other streaming services. streaming that are not normally available in your region.

You’ll find security features like a kill switch and Multi-Hop, which routes your connection through two countries instead of just one. It is outside of 14 eyes, has a strict no-logs policy, and is a member of the VPN Trust Initiative.

Despite the low monthly cost, it is really one of the best VPNs out there, and also one of the fastest thanks to the use of the WireGuard protocol.

NordVPN

So often a good VPN service is good no matter what device you use it on. NordVPN is a great option for iPad owners.

The map view is fun to use on a screen larger than your phone, and it quickly connects you to one of Nord’s thousands of servers.

Unblock many services including Netflix, Disney+, BBC iPlayer and many more.

Based in Panama, it is outside the jurisdiction of the “14 eyes” (a group of countries that have agreed to collect, analyze and share information).

You can connect up to six devices to NordVPN at once, and there are also apps for iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows, and Amazon Fire TV.

As you know, you can get great discounts if you sign up for a couple of years. Check the offers on the NordVPN website.

ExpressVPN

Another one of our favorite VPNs is ExpressVPN. Like its other apps, the company’s iPad app has a new look, but it works exactly the same as before, connecting you to one of its many servers.

ExpressVPN unblocks more video services than its rivals, but that’s just a reason to pay the higher monthly prices it charges if you need to watch one or more of those additional services.

It bills itself as the premium option, and justifies it in part with the long list of video services it works with, as well as its TrustedServer setup, 24/7 live chat support, and fast speeds using its protocol. Lightway owner.

In addition to using it on your iPad, there are also apps for iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows, Fire TV, and more. There’s a limit of five devices at a time, but that should be enough for most people.

Although not the cheapest, ExpressVPN offers discounts, with the best deal being a one-year subscription, which is almost half the price.

CyberGhost

CyberGhost is possibly the best known VPN, and it’s still a great option in 2021.

It’s really easy to use and one of the least expensive services when you sign up for a couple of years.

CyberGhost has over 6,700 servers in 88 countries, so you’re sure to find a connection that suits your needs.

The most interesting thing for most people is the fact that it is quite reliable in unblocking streaming services. One blemish on its history, however, was that it wouldn’t let us watch iPlayer from France when we tried it recently.

However, it does unblock Netflix, Disney+, HBOMax, Amazon Prime, and others. The iPlayer problem is probably due to the usual game of cat and mouse, in which streaming services block certain VPNs, which then look for other servers to unblock the service.

It’s a problem for many VPN services, and CyberGhost may let you watch iPlayer by the time you read this.

With support for WireGuard, CyberGhost offers fast connections, and a subscription allows you to use the service on up to seven devices at once.

Private Internet Access

Private Internet Access is a well-established VPN service that now operates a staggering 33,000 servers.

The figure is not as important as it might seem, but it is still a sign that it is one of the greats of the VPN world.

The company makes a point of pointing out that its software is open source, so anyone can inspect the code and see if there are any issues. This is one of the reasons why it calls itself the most reliable VPN service in the world.

PIA, as it is known to most of its users, allows 10 simultaneous connections and is really geared towards offering protection while using the Internet.

It’s not the best at unblocking streaming services, though it did let us watch US Netflix and BBC iPlayer when we tried it in June 2021.

Speeds are very good thanks to the use of WireGuard, and the iPad app is easy to use.
